Back

Tap My Safety Plan is a prototype digital support tool for people who may benefit from having a personal plan, grounding tools, and private reflection space available from a phone or NFC card.

What to test

  • Whether the first tap feels calm, clear, and fast enough.
  • Whether the plan structure makes sense on a small phone screen.
  • Whether the journal feels private, useful, and easy to leave.
  • Whether Orbit, Scatter, Tap, and Violet feel intuitive.
  • Whether wording feels supportive without sounding clinical or forced.

Boundaries

The app does not monitor risk, contact services automatically, or replace professional support. It is designed as a personal access point for plans, tools, and resources that someone can choose to use.

Privacy notes

Core data is saved on the device unless account or cloud features are active. Journal access is PIN protected on the device. Testing should include what someone expects to happen if their phone is lost, shared, or replaced.

Feedback prompts

  • What would make you trust this more?
  • What feels unclear, too much, or too prominent?
  • What would you change before using it with students?
  • Which features feel genuinely useful rather than decorative?
